Introduction to Ballet, Tap, and Modern Dance (Ages 5-6)
Welcome to our exciting Introduction to Ballet, Tap, and Modern Dance class designed for young dancers ages 5 to 6! This one-hour class provides a fun and nurturing environment where children can explore three beautiful dance styles' foundational techniques and expressive movements.
Ballet
Our ballet segment introduces students to the graceful world of classical ballet. Children will learn basic positions, simple steps, and the importance of posture and balance. Through engaging activities and imaginative play, young dancers will develop their coordination, flexibility, and an appreciation for the elegance of ballet.
Tap
In the tap portion of the class, kids will discover the rhythmic and energetic style of tap dance. They will be introduced to basic tap steps, rhythms, and patterns, helping them develop a sense of timing and musicality. This section encourages students to make music with their feet while having a blast!
Modern Dance
The modern dance segment allows children to express themselves freely through creative movements. They will explore different ways to move their bodies, emphasizing natural and fluid motions. This part of the class fosters creativity, self-expression, and a deeper understanding of how to use their bodies in dance.
